Filipe Monteiro represented INESC MN at the conference MNE 2026, where he presented work on O₂ plasma trimming for spin-valve magnetic sensors, exploring how plasma processing can be used to reduce lithographic critical dimensions and tune sensor performance.
As part of the Euronanolab Thin Film Group session, he also presented INESC MN’s thin-film processing capabilities and chaired the session on behalf of Prof. Susana Freitas, highlighting the institute’s activities and expertise within the European micro- and nanofabrication community.
The International Conference on Micro and Nano Engineering (MNE) brings together researchers and industry from across the fields of micro- and nanofabrication, lithography, thin films, materials processing and device technologies, creating an excellent setting to share results, exchange ideas and discover new developments in the field.
