On December 13, Maria Inês Nunes received the “Academic Excellence in MEFT” award in recognition of the best MSc thesis in the scientific area of Condensed Matter and Nanotechnologies.
The INESC MN student worked in the Multimode Photonics group under the supervision of Professor Marco Piccardo. The research focused on the generation of vector beams, involving the design of a new method for polarization shaping that is promising for high-power applications.
This prize is a recognition of the high-quality research being conducted at INESC MN.
