Organic Electronics

The Organic Electronics group develops smart materials for flexible, transparent electronics in health and energy applications. Collaborating internationally, they focus on wearable monitoring, self-charging systems, organic photosensors, and smart tags for sustainable textiles.

The Organic Electronics group is focused on developing smart materials based on carbon derivatives, polymers, nanoparticles, together with nano processing solutions, and their development towards new advanced applications in flexible, transparent, wearable, and sustainable electronics for health and energy applications. The group projects are multidisciplinary, often with international and industrial collaborations, aiming to develop valuable technical solutions to solve industrial and societal problems.

Presently, most of the work is towards the development of wearable monitoring solutions for workers in extreme conditions and patients with chronic diseases, textile embedded flexible and self-charging systems, organic photosensors for bionic and energy solutions, and digitally printed smart tags for sustainable industrial textile process.
