From 24 to 28 November, Instituto Superior Técnico held the second edition of “Engenharia e Ciência vão à Escola” (Engineering and Science Go to School), an initiative bringing researchers, engineers, and students into schools across Lisbon, Loures, and Oeiras during the national Science and Technology Week.

The 2025 edition continues a key mission: to make science accessible to younger generations, ensuring they are not limited in their future career choices. By exposing students early to real scientific challenges and diverse research fields, the initiative helps cultivate curious, sharp minds capable of understanding the world around them and developing the skills needed to solve complex problems.

Their participation helped showcase the impact of micro- and nanotechnology research and encouraged students to explore STEM paths with confidence, imagination, and critical thinking.
