INESC MN participated in the Técnico Innovation Summit 2026 (TIS 2026), held at the Técnico Innovation Center (TIC) and organized by Instituto Superior Técnico. The event showcased how scientific research at IST is transformed into technological, economic, and societal impact.

Throughout the event, INESC MN was represented at its exhibition stand by members of the INESC MN research team, including PhD students and research collaborators, who engaged with participants from academia, industry, and the wider innovation ecosystem. These interactions provided an opportunity to share ongoing research activities and to exchange perspectives with a diverse audience.

In addition to external outreach, the event also promoted communication and dialogue among the various research units represented, contributing to increased awareness of the diversity of research activities across the Técnico community.

The Técnico Innovation Summit 2026 brought together projects at different levels of maturity, ranging from early-stage research and functional prototypes to validated solutions, technology transfer initiatives, and spin-off creation, reinforcing IST’s positioning as a science and engineering university oriented towards impact and knowledge valorisation.

INESC MN was also represented in the programme through the participation of its researcher Diogo Caetano, who took part as a former participant in the session “Lab2Market@Técnico 2026: Launching Session”, sharing his experience with the Flash Rapid-Diagnostics project.
