To celebrate Girls in ICT Day 2025, the Engenheiras por 1 Dia* program met with some mini curious minds — children full of big questions about technology!

Two of our researchers from INESC MN (Vania Silverio and Helena Alves) took part in this lovely initiative, which aims to introduce young children to the fascinating world of technology — and perhaps even inspire the next generation!

Questions like “How does electricity work?”, “Why do cars run out of battery?”, “Why does the oven turn red when it’s hot?” and “How does a microwave heat food?” were just a few of the many curiosities raised by the children — all answered in accessible language.
