We are proud to announce that Duarte Esteves, PhD student at INESC MN, received the Young Researcher Award 2025 for his oral presentation at the 22nd International Conference on Radiation Effects in Insulators (REI-22), held in Madrid, Spain, from 8 to 13 June 2025.

His presentation, entitled: “Anisotropic Structural Effects in Cr-implanted β-Ga₂O₃ Single-Crystals,”
was recognised for its scientific quality and impact.

REI-22 brings together the global scientific community working on radiation effects in insulators and non-metallic materials.
