Marco Piccardo, researcher at INESC MN and faculty member at Instituto Superior Técnico, participated in the Nobel Symposium on Metamaterials Science and Technology, held at Umeå University, Sweden. Organized under the auspices of the Nobel Foundation and the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, the symposium brought together a select group of leading international researchers in photonics, metamaterials, acoustics, and wave physics to discuss the latest scientific advances and emerging directions in the field. The meeting featured many of the pioneers whose work has shaped modern metamaterials research and who are widely recognized among the world’s foremost scientists in the discipline.
