On March 17th, the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) hosted the “Semiconductors: Opportunities and Challenges” event. This gathering brought together members of the Portuguese Government, key decision-makers, industry leaders, and researchers to discuss strategies and initiatives in the semiconductor sector at national, regional, EU, and international levels. INESC MN was represented in the poster session and in the panel discussions by Prof. Paulo Freitas.
The event was supported by POEMS, the Portuguese Competence Centre in Semiconductors, a consortium of which INESC MN is a participant. POEMS, co-funded by FCT and the Chips Joint Undertaking, integrates a network of European Competence Centres, reinforcing Europe’s ambition to lead in semiconductor training, research, development, and manufacturing.
